KEIGWIN KABARET

KEIGWIN KABARETs are spectacles of contemporary dance and burlesque performed as site-specific work. Audiences glimpse the underbelly of performance culture through provocative evenings of dance and comedy. Inspired by the backstage events of live theater, KEIGWIN+COMPANY present smart dances with hints of irony while special guest stars juice up the entertainment quotient.

HOW IT BEGAN

KEIGWIN KABARET was born in a living room at the Bates Dance Festival in 2000. Since then this site-specific cabaret has been seen at Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn, Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater in Manhattan, a courtyard at Summerdance Santa Barbara, and on NY’s Upper West Side at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater at Symphony Space.
